New Focus

As the year slowly fades away our focus is moving to MFL Qualifiers, MHSAA State Championship, and Nationals.  We are looking forward to some great tournaments and great fun!!!

Washington, D.C. Here We Come!!!

Whoo hoo!!!  We qualified 7 students to go to the National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament in Washington, D.C. in May!!! Ben Chen - Declamation, Kristen Dupard - Oral Interpretation, Jessica Glenn - Congress, Mira Patel - Congress, Maria Vasser - Extemporaneous Speaking, Neha Patel - Extemporaneous Speaking, and Harold Davis - Extemporaneous Speaking.

 

 

JCFL

The Jackson Catholic Forensic League Qualifying Tournament will be held this weekend at Jackson Prepatory School in Jackson. Break-a-Stopwatch to all of the forensic team members who will be competing!

Isidore Newman

Congratulations to the team for the recent win at Isidore Newman!!! The team won 1st in Overall Team Sweepstakes, 1st in Speech Sweepstakes, and 2nd in Debate Sweepstakes!  It was a great showing and a great time in New Orleans!

Congratulations to Maria Vasser, Neha Patel, and Kristen Dupard for being accepted to compete at the Barkley Forum at Emory University in Atlanta, GA in January!!!!

St. Andrews Tournament

     Great work at St. Andrews everyone!!! Congratulations to all of our semifinalists : Maria Vasser in Original Oratory, and Joe Ji Kor in HI.  Also congratulations to our finalists: Maria Vasser 5th place in Varsity Exempt and 2nd place in Congress; Gavin Hopkins 6th in Congress; Kristen Dupard 4th in DI and 2nd in OI; Joe Ji Kor 5th in OI; and Jessica Glenn 4th in Imp.

Stennis Novice Competition

    Amazing work at Stennis everyone!!! We are really proud of ALL of our novices breaking to finals!!! This is an amazing feat and shows each and everyone of your talents!! The rest of the team, Mrs. Howell, and I look forward to seeing where you guys will be at the end of the year :D 

This Week/Stennis

First off, great job at Oak Grove everyone!! We had a strong showing and this was the first time that the entire team competed together!! We had lots of fun and hope to continue being great throughout the  year! Attention to all novices going to Stennis, make sure that you have read all the rules for the events that you are in and that you are at RHS at the proper time!! Remember that we have a team dinner at Nagoya on Tuesday, so be there!! Other than that, good luck at Stennis! :D
